On April 28, 2016, Salesforce held their annual World Tour in Washington, DC at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Frequently referred to as “mini Dreamforces,” the Salesforce World Tours are known for giving participants a taste of Dreamforce in their local market. The DC World Tour was a CRM customer’s dream, jam-packed with breakout sessions, hundreds of sponsor booths, product demos, and engaging guest speakers. Attendees interacted with products and solutions first-hand, while hearing how real Salesforce customers overcame their challenges and achieved success.
The day-long event kicked off with a fascinating keynote from Salesforce co-founder Parker Harris, and the General Services Administration. Four-Star General Colin Powell just happened to stop by for a fireside chat with Parker Harris, where he gave conference attendees the inside scoop on what it was like working for various U.S. Presidents.
Attendees explored the Customer Success Expo where they saw Salesforce demos, vendor solutions and technologies, and attended breakout sessions.
The dozens of breakout sessions focused on a variety of topics: improving the the speed of mission transformation for government, driving metrics using reports and dashboards, government strategies for unlocking the full potential of your enterprise, citizen engagement, and correspondence management. Adam Horvath, Managing Director at Acumen Solutions, demonstrated our Salesforce Fullforce solution, Correspondence Management. For government employees, the DC World Tour was an especially unique opportunity to meet with product vendors and Salesforce implementation partners, to explore all that Salesforce has to offer, as well as investigate how the SIISS BPA might be leveraged for their agency. As you may have heard in the news, GSA just awarded a 5-year, $500 million Salesforce Integration and Support Services (SIISS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
Not sure if the SIISS BPA and Salesforce are right for your agency? During the DC World Tour, Jay Tansing, Managing Director of Public Sector at Acumen Solutions, and Rasheed Williams from U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) discussed how our industry-government partnership and the HHS Salesforce License BPA has changed the way HHS fuels the engine of enterprise innovation and serves constituents.
